At least 4 house raids and 50 people initially detained during the raids with only 2 or 3 leading to arrest. Nothing 'harmful' found in these raids. Lawyers being cuffed and detained. Journalists having equipment confiscated. Citizens told to stay in home or be arrested.

The full picture of Baghdad is grim
Sen. John McCain, in Baghdad last weekend, accused the American press of providing an unbalanced, too-negative report on the situation in Iraq. "The American people are not getting the full picture of what is happening here," he said. McCain's comments came following his tour of a Baghdad market intended to show that life in the Iraq capital is peaceful and normal.
